1 SunSpire® Organic 65% Cacao Semi-Sweet Baking Bar (4 oz.)
1 1/3 cup SunSpire® Peanut Butter Baking Chips
½ cup butter (for a lower fat option, use ¼ cup butter and ¼ cup applesauce)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup sugar
½ cup Arrowhead Mills® Organic Unbleached White Flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch square baking pan.
2 Break chocolate bar into pieces and place in medium microwave-safe bowl with butter. Microwave for 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until well blended. Stir in sugar, flour, baking soda and salt; blend completely. Stir in 1 cup of peanut butter chips.
3 Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out almost clean.
4 Take brownies out of oven and before they cook completely, sprinkle remaining 1/3 cup on top to get an extra peanut buttery batch of brownies.
5 Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars
6 Makes 16 brownies
