SunSpire products do not contain trans fats.
The emulsifier used in our Sunspire and Dream confections is derived from soybeans. It is used to keep the solids in cocoa butter or palm kernel oil from separating out of the finished product.
Carob is a natural fruit with a sweet and toasty flavor. The pulp of the fruit is used to make carob products.
Cocoa butter is the natural, cream-colored vegetable fat extracted from cocoa beans during the process of making chocolate and cocoa powder.

U.S. date codes are usually listed as day, month, year, (DDMMMYY). For example, BEST BY 09FEB11 is February 9, 2011.
Our SunSpire and Dream products provide a "best by" code date on the package which represents the end of the shelf life. The shelf life varies by product.
For best results, we recommend that you store our chocolate and carob products between 55 and 65 degrees. Make any temperature changes gradually.
